Alan C. Sklar is a principal in Sklar Williams PLLC, which he founded in 1995. Mr. Sklar has practiced corporate, securities, real estate, commercial, and healthcare law since the early 1980s. He has represented clients in numerous highly-publicized matters and was selected as Nevada’s leading business lawyer by the Nevada Business Journal. He is routinely recognized by Super Lawyers, Chambers USA, U.S. News & World Report’s Best Lawyers, Nevada Business Magazine, Las Vegas Press, (Marquis) Who’s Who in America, (Marquis) Who’s Who in American Law, and numerous like local periodicals as a leader in his field.

Mr. Sklar was previously a member of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp and Warren Clark & Sklar in Los Angeles, and Gordon & Silver in Las Vegas, and was Managing Director of a private New York-based merchant banking (now referred to as private equity) firm. Mr. Sklar has served as a Director of Bank of George and GBank Financial Holdings Inc. since the formation of each entity (2007 and 2017, respectively). Mr. Sklar is, or has previously served as, a member of: the Board of Directors of numerous private for-profit corporations, the Silver State ACO, Bloomberg BusinessWeek Magazine Market Advisory Board, the Advisory Board of Battle Born Ventures (the State of Nevada’s venture capital investment vehicle,) the Urban Land Institute, the Board of Directors of the Solomon Schechter Day School in Las Vegas, the Board of Trustees of the Shalhevet School in Los Angeles, and the Secondary School Committee of the University of Pennsylvania Admissions Department. Mr. Sklar is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts & Science (Summa Cum Laude) and School of Law (where he was appointed Morris Fellow from 1980 through 1982) and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and various other honorary societies. He has published articles on a wide range of corporate, securities, real estate, and commercial law subjects for the Practising Law Institute and other publications. He is admitted to the state bars of Nevada and California.
